ASLI CEO spoke with H.E. Maria Angela A. Ponce, Ambassador of the Philippines to Malaysia, on the 61st anniversary of Malaysia–Philippines relations. They reflected on an enduring friendship built on mutual respect, security cooperation and strong people‑to‑people ties.
The conversation explored the joint commission mechanism and ASEAN collaboration under Malaysia’s chairmanship. Ambassador Ponce outlined key economic integration initiatives, including the ASEAN–China FTA upgrade and the electric vehicle roadmap. She also discussed progress on the South China Sea Code of Conduct, cultural diplomacy efforts and the importance of youth engagement in strengthening bilateral bonds.
