Rethinking ASEAN Cities: Beyond the Capitals
ASLI CEO spoke at the roundtable “The ASEAN Community Vision 2045 – Bringing Opportunities Closer to ASEAN Cities” during the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanisation Forum (ASUF), organised by URBANICE Malaysia, to share perspectives on how ASEAN Member States can align governance and policies for more inclusive urban growth.
We highlighted the importance of looking beyond capital cities — recognising that second-tier cities also have unique expertise and potential to drive the ASEAN Vision 2045.
Infrastructure remains a key enabler, with projects like the Johor–Singapore RTS Link serving as strong examples of how connectivity can unlock new opportunities for both people and businesses.
