ASLI CEO Danial Rahman was honoured to speak at the Retail Forum 2025 – Treading The Intricate Retail Landscape organised by the Malaysia Shopping Mall Association.
In his session titled “The Impact of Geopolitics on the Global Retail Landscape,” Danial explored how the global retail sector is increasingly shaped by geopolitical dynamics—from sanctions and tariffs to supply chain fragmentation and rising economic nationalism.
With retail now at the intersection of global power competition and regulatory shifts, the session offered reflections on Southeast Asia’s position amid this turbulence, and how businesses must adapt to remain resilient, relevant, and regionally engaged.
