Malaysian Chinese at the Political Crossroads Conference
|Date||:||18 FEBRUARY 2012|
|Venue||:||Berjaya Times Square Hotel|
Malaysia is at an exciting crossroads – politically, economically and socially that will transform the nation. The Government Transformation Programme and Economic Transformation have created a buzz in business circles and the private sector. The 2011 Malaysia Day Eve Speech by Prime Minister YAB Dato Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak announcing the repeal of the ISA, the Emergency Ordinance and the Banishment Act have set in motion the nation's political transformation to be a more liberal, democratic and tolerant society. Yet, at the same time the political divide remains wide and deep. The Barisan Nasional is facing testing times going into the 13th General Elections.
GE13 is a sort of crossroads for the nation. Which road will we travel? Which direction do we take that will bring us to our final destination of being a fully developed nation with a high income economy? Will we have more democratic freedoms? Will human rights be better protected? Will the national economy continues to grow robustly? Will we maintain the peace and harmony we have enjoyed for so many decades?
These and many other pertinent questions will be dealt with at this National Conference on Malaysian Chinese at the Political Crossroads brought to you by INSAP and ASLI. Participate in this Conference to be better informed so that you can arrive at a better choice and strategic decision. Have your questions answered. Raise your concerns and frustrations. We invite you to join us in this apt and timely Conference.
