17th National Housing & Property Summit 2014

“Changing Landscape, Coping with a Challenging Year”
26 & 27 August 2014 | Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre

The 2014 National Housing & Property Summit, the 17th edition of this Annual Series, will meet amidst a changing landscape impacting on the property sector. The Government’s recent cooling measures have somewhat made it more difficult for developers and house buyers to obtain bank loans, amidst concerns of an impending property bubble. Yet the country still faces a housing shortage, particularly affordable housing. Are we heading towards a property bubble? Will strong demand negates any notion of an impending bubble? Will we continue to face growing demand for housing? Will supply be sufficient to meet growing needs? What must be done to address the needs of a house hungry population and ensure that sufficient housing will be supplied? What is the short-term and medium-term outlook for the Property sector?

The Annual National Housing & Property Summit is the pre-eminent National Conference and Industry event for the Housing & Property sector to feel the pulse of the property market and assess the rhythm of development in the country. The high level National Summit brings together thought leaders and government leaders, as well as key industry players to discuss the key challenges facing the industry and what measures need to be taken to strengthen the Housing & Property sector as a key engine of economic growth. The Conference will also evaluate key trends and emerging opportunities. More importantly the Summit will look at what has changed since last year and what new strategies are needed to take the industry forward.

The 2014 National Housing & Property Summit will discuss how sustainable is the Housing and Property Industry and where the Property sector is heading. It will evaluate what are the critical challenges and key issues facing the Housing & Property Industry. The Summit will take stock of new developments such as new property projects among the Entry Point projects under the Property NKEA. Key questions will be raised and discussed at the Summit and be answered by experienced and knowledgeable speakers. The Summit will also identify and examine new trends and review key sub-sectors in the Property Industry such as Residential and Condominium Development, Commercial Sector Outlook, Affordable Housing and Affluent and Lifestyle Housing. The Summit will look at new property hot spots and identify new growth opportunities.
